Your Brain Is Not Broken
Why Anxiety, Overthinking, and Emotional Exhaustion Are Survival Responses

If your mind constantly races.
replays conversations long after they end...
or feels like it never truly shuts off.

You may have wondered:

"What is wrong with me?"

But the truth is far more powerful-and far more hopeful.

Your brain is not broken.

It is doing exactly what it was designed to do.

The human brain evolved to keep you alive in a world filled with danger.
Today, that same survival system is reacting to deadlines, stress, social pressure, and constant stimulation.

The result?

• Anxiety that won't turn off
• Overthinking that loops for hours
• Emotional exhaustion that never fully goes away

In Your Brain Is Not Broken, psychiatric nurse practitioner Alina Smith, PMHNP-C breaks down the science behind why your mind works this way-and how to finally work with your brain instead of against it.
Blending clinical insight with real-life understanding, this book will help you:

• Understand why anxiety exists and what it's trying to protect you from
• Learn why your brain replays conversations and predicts worst-case scenarios
• Recognize how modern life keeps your nervous system stuck in survival mode
• Break free from constant overthinking and mental loops
• Train your brain to recognize safety and finally begin to slow down

You are not failing.
You are not broken.
Your brain has simply been trying to protect you.
Once you understand that, everything begins to change.
