Fade in on the painting that changes Meredith Stone's life: it's of a mansion, overlooking the bay, with white sand beaches and bathers lying about in a very Seurat fashion. A professional artist, Meredith is in a rut, anchored in place by her overly large home and the memories of failed relationships.
Enter, a Hollywood scouting agent at her gallery show, who thinks that house in the painting would be the perfect place to film the new blockbuster: Winter's Beach (a modern retelling of Romeo and Juliet with a happy ending, so it performs well on streaming services). Looking for a change, Meredith agrees for the cast and crew to stay and film under her roof.
The movie's cast doesn't pack lightly. Blake Ryan, the temperamental lead actor, needs to stay on the media's good side after storming out of an interview. Grace, his Juliet, is in love with him, on and off screen. While Baxter, Blake's overly-involved agent, tries to hide his feelings for the actress to keep this movie's progress rolling along.
Meanwhile, Meredith and Blake ruin everyone's plans, with their unexpected chemistry...
