Traffic Jams have become a familiar sight for many drivers traveling for different purposes. With the increase of car ownership rates, traffic volume have exponentially increased over the last few decades. Existing road infrastructure today is often strained nearly to its limits. Continuous expansion of these infrastructures, however is not possible or even desirable due to spacial, economical and environmental constraints. It considers an isolated traffic intersection as well as the whole traffic network and try to present some powerful abstraction with the help of graph theory. Different graph topologies are also discussed which are of great help to deal with the modern traffic control problems.
