Evelyn Dover lives a content and comfortable life with her parents in Sisronia, a small village situated in the easternmost point of the realm of Tarugon. Until, one fateful night, her cottage is invaded by intruders claiming she's in fact Evelyn Thorne, the sole heir to the House of Thorne, one of the seven mythical Houses of Tarugon, each possessing an extraordinary power. With her parents dead, and no other Thorne alive, Evelyn must take her late father's place as Head of Thorne House and attempt to navigate the male-dominated world of these seven Houses while the wellbeing and happiness of the citizens of Tarugon is thrust upon her shoulders.

Now, already under the vengeful eye of those who do not wish to see a woman succeed, she must learn to harness her powers, whilst solving the mystery of her parent's deaths- before others realize that she's the most powerful of them all.
Lorena Villarreal was born and raised in Monterrey, México. Currently pursuing a business degree in Tecnológico de Monterrey, she is algo an alumn of Yale University´s Writer´s Workshop and New York University´s Visiting Student Program. The Seven Houses is her second novel.
