'The Next Bend' is more than a book: it is a life experience that will transport readers on an on-the-road journey, changing their perspectives and perhaps their lives.
From the author's introduction:
It was a spring in the early seventies, when the warm April sun weaved through the rooftops of Genoa's narrow streets. With all the courage and carefreeness typical of youth, two friends climbed aboard an old off-road vehicle and embarked on an adventure. The Port of Genoa, witness to their growing up, quickly disappeared behind them as their destination unfolded: the East.
Thus began their on-the-road journey, an extraordinary odyssey through the Balkans and the Anatolian steppes, reaching the mythical lands of Iran, Afghanistan, India, and Thailand. But more important than the destination was the road itself, the path unfolding before them. A road to be traveled with the wind of freedom pushing their journey, a desire to savor life without limits, without borders.

A story that crossed mountains, deserts, and the very heart of the rebellious youth of the '70s.

Because this story wants to be primarily a journey, not a demonstration of technical skill. And it is in the soul that I hope it can arrive.
