Pełny opis

"The Bondsman" tells the extraordinary story of Harold Rosenthal, a man who changes his family's last name to Ross to avoid the harassment for being a Jew before their move to Georgia during the Antebellum period. Initially, Harold Ross was a profiteer, making a lot of money bailing out blacks that were being arrested for protesting. After witnessing the brutal beatings and killings of blacks, he had a change of heart and becomes an unlikely candidate to save the young upstart Martin Luther King Jr., who was already considered a revolutionary by the powers that be in the racially charged South of the 1950s.

Despite the risks involved, Harold bails King out of a dangerous situation and secures a plane to transport him out of Georgia, ultimately saving his life, years before King was actually assassinated. The Klan, threatened by King's influence and the possibility of change, retaliates by destroying Harold's profitable business, branding him a Yankee and a nigger sympathizer. Forced to flee, Harold seeks refuge in Mexico City to evade being killed.

After Harold outsmarted the Ku Klux Klan, he outwits the CIA to help the Nicaraguan people wage a revolutionary war against their oppressors - the mighty U.S. of A.
