Pełny opis

"So, while most mothers would immediately wrap up their young son bleeding from his head, place him into their arms, hold him, comfort and love him, and 'make it better,' that was not this Englishwoman's true nature. Nope, not at all. Instead, giving David a towel to hold over his wound, she sat her boy down on top of the eat-in kitchen bench and looked him square in the eye and said, 'David, never - and I mean never - let them get on top of you again. Do you understand?' "

David Graiver (1947-2007) grew up in the Boston suburbs in the 1950s and '60s, but his seemingly normal childhood would take a drastic turn, leading him into a unique, one-of-a-kind lifestyle filled with sexual and criminal adventures that occurred deep in western Maine.

With his draft number about to be called to go to Vietnam, Graiver chose to hide out in western Maine, where he would eventually create a public sauna experience that welcomed all walks of life. Where anything and everything was accepted. Graiver truly lived every day like it was his last. While being a loving and present father, he would build Dave's Sauna into the last-of-its-kind experience, filled with nudity, booze, love, laughs, and drugs.
