Beneath Verbobonc, the aboleth is dead.
But the city's danger did not die with it.
As the streets above struggle to return to peace, Seir and his companions uncover a darker truth: the horror beneath the river was only one part of an older and wider design. Ancient Flan chains lie buried beneath the city, not merely binding monsters, but sealing locks, gates, and powers meant to remain forgotten.
Cult remnants still move in the shadows. Secret wardens guard truths no council dares admit. And every broken link points north, toward Dyvers, where the greatest weight of all may rest beneath stone and water.
To save Verbobonc, the party must descend once more into drowned tunnels, ruined chambers, and the hidden machinery of an age that believed evil could be measured, moved, and contained.
