The book present an overview of how population is one of the key factor, responsible for the cause of poverty globally. It explains, how it is the major irritant in the economic growth and development of many economies world over. The population issue is an example of where the world has lost its way and is not concentrating on these big economic, environmental or social issues seriously. Are world population problems serious today? One might look at various "symptoms": Thousands, mostly children, starve to death every day in different places around the world. Immigration is a big problem. Forests everywhere are "disappearing". The global unpolluted fresh water supply is in danger. Air in most big cities is becoming increasingly unhealthy.what kind of world will our great-great- grandchildren inherit? The book makes an attempt to explain that,we are preoccupied with other issues , and remain little bit non-serious regarding the impending risk that overpopulation and poverty will create in the coming future to our economy.
