Pełny opis

Caroline is a beautiful and talented young woman living in New York City and working to achieve her dream of performing on Broadway. Her lifeless body is found in a seedy hotel back in her hometown of Scranton, Pennsylvania, a hotel known for its use by addicts and those willing to exchange sex for drugs. The coroner pronounces her dead of an overdose, and the police consider the matter closed. Refusing to accept that her only child died of an overdose and convinced that she was the victim of foul play, Caroline's mother pursues her only link to Caroline before she died.

Guided by chance or an unseen force, she encounters people who believe that communication with the dead is possible. Against everything she was taught as a devout Catholic, and desperate to know what happened to her daughter, she meets with a medium. Armed with clues from her dead daughter, she encounters skepticism and resistance from the one police detective who might be able to uncover the truth. She needs help. Help that can only come from the other side.
