Pełny opis

In the present monograph the author in coherent fashion describes the modern trends in the physics of superconductivity and superfluidity, magnetism and BCS-BEC crossover in novel systems, as well as the problem of BCS-BEC crossover in ultracold quantum gasses and high-Tc superconductors. He illuminates the intensive exchange of ideas between these closely related fields of condensed matter physics during last 30 years of their dynamic development. The manuscript is based on original results of the author obtained in Kapitza Institute as well as on the advanced lecture courses which the author read in Moscow Engineering Physical Institute, Amsterdam University, Loughborough University and LPTMS Orsay associated with University Paris Sud in the period of 1994-2011. Besides the results of his group the author tries to discuss the most recent ideas in these fields obtained both in Russia and in the West. The monograph consists of 18 chapters which are divided into four parts. In the first part the author describes the new developments in superfluid hydrodynamics of quantum fluids and solids, including the fashionable subject of possible supersolidity in quantum crystals of 4He. In the second part he provides the description of BCS-BEC crossover in quantum Fermi-Bose gasses and mixtures as well as in the underdoped states of cuprates. Third part is devoted to non-phonon mechanism of superconductivity in unconventional (anomalous) superconductors including some important aspects of the theory of high-Tc superconductivity. Finally the last part considers anomalous normal state of novel superconductive materials and the materials with colossal magnetoresistance (CMR). The book can be useful to the undergraduate students of the senior courses, as well as postgraduate students, postdocs and researchers specializing in solid-state and low-temperature physics.
