"Fassaden" ist ein Handbuch für Praktiker, Architekten und Studenten, die ihr Wissen über die Informationen im Kapitel "Wände" des ersten Bandes der Reihe "Moderne Baukonstruktion" hinaus noch vertiefen wollen. In sechs Kapiteln werden Fassaden, geordnet nach den primär verwendeten Materialien wie Metall, Glas, Beton, Ziegel, Kunststoffe und Holzwerkstoffe dargestellt. Innerhalb der Kapitel werden die spezifischen Konstruktionen auf jeweils drei Doppelseiten in Text, Bild und detaillierten Konstruktionszeichnungen erläutert. Gebaute Beispiele bekannter Architekten illustrieren die beschriebenen Prinzipien.
