Chapter 2 presents §spatial database modeling and a selection of §approaches in that direction. Chapter 4 discusses §approaches for indexing spatial data. Similarly, §chapter 5 adds a time dimension to spatial indexing §and presents approaches for spatio-temporal §indexing. Chapter 6 presents AIRSTD , a selected §approach for retrieving and indexing spatio-temporal §databases. In Chapter 6 we discuss a future view of §the famous Google Earth application as a real time §applicable example of all theoretical material §presented in this book. Finally, a brief overview §and summary of the book are presented in chapter 7.
