David Sarac is a police officer who has done something unforgiveable. But how can he atone for his crimes when he can't remember the victims? David Sarac has just woken up in a car that has crashed. All he can remember is that he is a police officer, he has committed a crime and that he needs to protect his informant Janus, at all costs. Jesper Stenberg is at the top of his game: he has been appointed Swedish Minister of Justice. He is also responsible for covering up the recent death of his mistress. Those responsible for the cover-up have asked for one thing as payment: the true identity and whereabouts of Janus. Atif is making his way back to Sweden from Iraq. His brother Adnan has been killed at the hands of a gang robbery gone wrong. Gang leader, Abu Hamsa informs him that Janus is behind the killing. Natalie Aden has been recruited as a private investigator to get to the bottom of who Sarac really is. As he begins to recover from the crash, Natalie becomes his confidante. The only person he believes he can trust and someone who will help him to piece the clues together. Together they are all looking for one man. But who is Janus? Most importantly, is Sarac closer to Janus than he ever thought possible?
