Jesus' Prayer: The Christian Story-Notes of an Explorer is based on the premise that the Christian story is most clearly told by the words of Jesus as recorded in the four Gospels. Jesus' remarkable prayer, known as the Lord's Prayer, provides an outline of the essential Christian story. In this book, the petitions of that prayer are used as a framework for presenting and discussing the teachings of Jesus about God's existence, character, kingdom, will, provision, forgiveness, guidance and deliverance. Jesus' teachings are referenced to an appended chronological summary of the life of Jesus so that the reader may appreciate the context of his sayings. Bert Cameron is professor emeritus of medicine (nephrology) at the University of British Columbia. He has had extensive experience in the Christian story, churches, parachurch organizations and education. He lives with his wife, Sonja, in Vancouver, British Columbia.
