Keogh focuses on the suburbs of Long Island, home to Levittown, often considered the archetypal suburb. Keogh explores how policymakers ignored suburban inequality, addressing housing segregation between cities and suburbs rather than suburbanites’ demands for decent jobs, housing, and schools.
