After Effects (AE) is the most commonly used application in the postproduction field. Commonly referred to as Photoshop on wheels, AE is the dominant application of its ilk with an estimated user base of 1.25 million users. AE is used to produce motion graphics, visual effects and graphic compositions. In addition to the many aspiring motion graphics/VFX artists, there are many other occasional users of AE in the form of web producers, video editors and other postproduction specialists that have occasional need of its tools. Many of these users dont know all the ins and outs of the application that would enable them to perform high-level techniques. This book enables these users to perform those advanced techniques by providing them with clear, concise instructions on a wide range of complex AE functions. Each technique is presented in a 1 or 2-page, 4-color spread accentuated with vibrant and inspiring images that users can recreate on their own.
