In a lush jungle territory, where myths are intertwined with reality, lives an aboriginal group of the Caribbean ethnic group. Cacique Catuche, leader of the Caracas and Teques clan, undertakes a crucial journey with the Piaches (shaman or witch doctor) to establish alliances with other chiefs. The imminent arrival of the white man, a bringer of violence and desolation, threatens their ancestral world.
Meanwhile, young Guaicaipuro and his friends defy the chief's warnings by playing with a jaguar cub. The feline escapes towards a forbidden route through the Piaches, an area full of enigmas and fantastic legends. Guaicaipuro, moved by loyalty to the chief, decides to look for the jaguar, without imagining that his destiny will take him to a princess called Yara, linked to an ancient legend of the Nívar tribe.
