As a young student at Columbia Bible College in 1950, Bernice felt God calling her to serve Him as a missionary in Africa. Without hesitation, this young woman from a small town in central Maine embarked on a journey to answer His call. For over thirty-six years she served in the Belgian Congo (later Zaire), teaching, discipling and encouraging her beloved African students. At the end of her years of missionary service, she came home facing an ongoing struggle with cancer. This is the inspiring story of a modest woman who has touched the lives of many people by living her steadfast belief in God's faithfulness. As a pebble tossed into a lake sends out ever-widening circles, so the circles of blessings extending from her life continue to touch lives around the world today.
