Pełny opis

80 years of secrets. A mother's sacrifice. An unbelievable true story told in his own words.

This powerful three-part true-life memoir introduces Chuck Kemsley, our long-lost brother who lived a dozen lives before finding his family and his true purpose.
Born in 1932, Chuck was one of the last babies to be surrendered to the notorious Foundling Hospital, enduring a challenging start that fuelled a deep, rebellious need for adventure.

The Three-Part Saga:

PART 1: OUR DIFFICULT SEARCH
Determined to unravel the mystery, my sisters and I embarked on a quest that proved to be far more challenging than we could ever have anticipated. However, against all the odds it culminated in a reunion when Chuck was over 80 years old-a testament to hope and perseverance.

PART 2: OUR MOTHER'S STORY
The heart-breaking truth behind a desperate young mother's devastating and difficult decision to surrender her baby to the Foundling Hospital in 1930s Britain; a choice that set the stage for his extraordinary life.

PART 3: CHUCK'S AMAZING LIFE STORY (IN HIS OWN WORDS)
Being one of the last babies left at London's notorious Foundling Hospital, he endured a harsh childhood that led him to become a fiery rebellious youth with a thirst for adventure and excitement; travelling the world, fearless, tough and invincible. Deeply traumatised by the belief that he had been abandoned at birth, he lived life on the edge, seeking danger and defying death. Despite this turbulent, anger fuelled lifestyle, Chuck always kept a strong sense of justice and had a deep respect for all living creatures. He developed an amazing rapport with animals and, in later life, became one of the world's leading authorities in canine and equine behaviour.
It's a tale of love, loss and reconciliation but, above all else, it is the extraordinary life story of a very special man - a man we are proud to call our brother!
A journey across eight decades, this memoir is a gripping tale of institutional life, death-defying adventure, redemption, and the enduring power of family.

"He was a man who lived more adventures than any Hollywood bullshit actor. How many people can include gun running for the Cuban Rebels on their CVs? Not many, I'm sure. I hope that Heaven is ready for Chuck's arrival, 'cos they've got their work cut out keeping him out of mischief" - Richard Cruttwell, friend, author and former desperate dog owner.
