This book was inspired by several changes in my llife. Having faced one of the most eye opening challenges, cancer, I needed a vehicle to express those relationships and memories that had been placed in the back of my mind to be shared in conversations with my grandchildren. So with a strong Faith in God and the thoughts that I could do something different in my life I wrote these poems. All of the poems were composed at the moment I had a memory of the person or the incident. The first and most revealing poem was "Just Yesterday." It was the poem that made me realize that I was very afraid but not enough to quit. And the last poem "When I Go," to my inspiration, my grandmother. There were more poems in me and I continued each year to search for the spark that caused me to write again. These are about the people who crossed my life over fifty four years. I hope you find one of your relationships here as well.
