This is the third in the six-book The Beginning of Civilization: Mythologies Told True, Second Edition. The series is a character driven suis generalis story with unbroken narrative written in crisp, inviting language touched with poetry stripped of ornamentation that explores the fears and desires of flawed everyday people whose lives and exploits, told and retold through the ages, gave rise to our traditions and mythologies and whose accumulated failures and lessons unlearned haunt and bring us to where we are today. Dionysus and Hestia tells the story of the Olympians after their victory in the war with the Titans. Dionysus, a Titan and reluctant Olympian, does his best to ameliorate the impact of the incessant power hungry Olympians, let by Hestia, the oldest Olympian. His path was noble but when you are up against the gods themselves, the path is difficult. Who won their struggle is not yet known.
