Robert Bench served six years in the Navy Seals when he decided he had enough of the brass and politicians wasting American lives so they could look good. He joined the Miami Police Department and earned his gold shield faster than anyone else in the history of the Department. Robert was proud of his gold shield earning it through action not being a political hack using his knack for solving the most difficult homicides which helped him stay out of trouble when he would stretch the rules and show his rebellious side in getting things done.
When the most powerful man in Florida loses his son, and numerous young girls are kidnapped and murdered up and down the Eastern Florida coast including Miami, Robert is called in to investigate and solve these crimes with a wild ride throughout southern Florida to the Bahamas. As the body count rises the political pressure and concern the guilty will get away, causing Robert to break all the rules and risk everything including the woman he unexpectedly falls for.
