When her former lover Devon Carter, now with the NSA, launches a secret mission to capture and harness the Entity, he triggers its final awakening. Both teams are forced together to confront it, but it is Elena's experience of love and loss that ultimately holds the key to freeing the universe from the Entity's threat, at the deepest personal cost.
