This book presents the fundamental concept of Lamb wave propagation and its application for damage detection in metals and composites. The editor has taken utmost care to include a range of applications of Lamb waves, in the linear and nonlinear domains, in this book. Various damage location algorithms making use of linear characteristics of Lamb waves and a few case studies making use of nonlinear characteristics Lamb waves for damage detection are presented in a simple-to-understand way. Readers will find detailed descriptions for experiments, simulation, and signal processing.
