The first volume seeks to examine the issues and challenges posed by migration to World Christianity. The main issues to be considered include but are not limited to the following: How have globalization and migration affected the theological self-understanding of the Church? What are the specific social, political, cultural, and religious characteristics of Christianity in a particular region in relation to globalization and migration? How have globalization and migration affected church membership, ecumenical relations, the attitude of Christians toward other religions, and the stance of Christians in relation to their wider society? In light of globalization and migration, how is the evangelizing mission of Christianity to be understood and carried out? What ecclesiastical reforms if any are required to enable the church to meet the challenges of globalization and migration?
