Bugs Under Water
A fun adventure with a nature lesson
During a certain time each year one of the stories the brother
and sisters grandad use to share with them was the "hatch" taking
place on the river while he was flyfishing. The kids never got tired of
hearing this nature story, but
didn't totally understand the "Hatch."
Well, it is that time of the year again and while their grandad has
passed away they felt it important to honor him and finally see
if they can possibly locate this secret fly fishing spot.
Early the next morning they quickly stuffed their backpacks with what
they felt was essential and after a big breakfast set off following the
river trail in an easterly direction.
They know the hike will be required a long time, but they can't get discouraged. It's important to remember to look for a large flat rock extending out into the water. This is where various numbers
of underwater bugs call home.
Meet the community .. Hatch, Fu, Mooch, and Big Ernie, along
with a cast of hundreds.
A story that educates a younger generation to understand the
importance of keeping cold water streams and rivers healthy and
pollutant free.
