Each illustration in this coloring book has been crafted from real photographs or scenes drawn from my 20-year career as a firefighter. Every day when I return home, my children eagerly ask if I have any stories to share. More often than not, I do, and their curiosity and enthusiasm is the inspiration behind this book. While I may not be an accomplished writer, I firmly believe that pictures can convey stories in a way words sometimes cannot. This coloring book is my attempt to bring to life the stories about the firefighting experience, not only for other firefighters and their families but for everyone. For those who don't have a firefighter in their family, I encourage you to ask one about their experiences when you have the chance. Trust me, they have plenty of stories to share.
