This is a book written by a son about his mother's garden. It also includes an original poem by the author. The book also gives the reader insight into the unique kinship that develops between the garden and the gardener, who steadfastly devotes herself to caring for her earthen charges in all kinds of weather and through all the seasons. In the end, the book leads the reader to realize that the labor in a mother's garden is not really so much about perfecting the looks of the garden as it is about caring for the plants and flowers that live there.
