The 2011 revolutions that started in Tunisia and swept across the region have been extensively covered, but until now Bahrain has almost been forgotten from the events that have dramatically changed the region. Bahrain's Uprising examines the role of the protests and reveals a complex society defined by its conflicts in which oil has enriched the ruling elite while the nation as a whole remains underdeveloped and impoverished.
