Juan has abandoned his childhood fantasy of being a professional photographer. He pretends to be happy with a life devoid of meaning, but deep down he craves real joy, and a sense of purpose. When Juan's brother-in-law asks him to dress up as the Easter Bunny for a kid's party, Juan accepts, but has no idea it will cost him his job, his marriage, and his dignity. Juan's ensuing medical emergency, while entertaining the kids, catapults his numb existence into a tailspin as he tries to adapt to life with side effects from his life-altering condition. Things go from bad to "Where the hell is God when you need Him?" as Juan accidentally uncovers evidence that could convict a ruthless sociopath. In the process, Juan becomes a target for murder and receives an answer to his question.
