When Viktor finds an ancient Etakian book among the Promithean ranks, he realizes there is more to their power than simple science. Determined to decode the ancient book while harboring his own vendetta against the top-ranking Promithean officer responsible for murdering his family, Viktor and his crew embark on a quest that will change the course of their lives.

However, the Promithean forces aren't the only thing standing in Viktor's way. The Gorasnian army isn't as noble as it claims to be. Between power-hungry commanding officers with a penchant for cruelty and questionable orders leading Gorasnian soldiers to commit nightmarish atrocities, Viktor and his friends must fight a battle on two fronts.

When a vital mission goes south, Viktor and his crew are declared traitors by their own. With the Gorasnian army at their backs and the Promitheans ahead, they must fight to survive at all costs, to avenge their loved ones, and to find meaning amid the endless conflict.
